The Board of the Mullumbimby Showground Land Manager invites Applications for the following roles:

Showground Manager

Interviews for shortlisted candidates will be scheduled between 4pm-6pm on Wednesday 9, Thursday 10 & Friday 11 November, 2021

The Manager, under direction and guidance of the Board and its various Committees, is responsible for the effective management of the Mullumbimby Showground. The position involves a high degree of administration as well as practical site management elements. It requires equal measures of versatility, problem-solving abilities, maintaining stakeholder relationships, and an attitude of following through to deliver desired outcomes.

Key areas of responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

  • Management of the Showground office and communications

  • Grounds management and infrastructure maintenance

  • User groups and event bookings

  • WHS and risk management policies, protocols and processes

  • Financial management

  • Preparation of grant applications and acquittals

  • Policy and operational systems

  • Annual reporting
     

The Mullumbimby Showground Land Manager is seeking a motivated individual with a minimum of two year’s experience working in a Site and/or Event management capacity and experience working within a not-for-profit sector involving volunteers.

Applicants must address each of the following criteria and demonstrate:

 

  1. Your ability to operate strategically

  2. Your experience within not-for-profit enterprises/organisations

  3. Your experience preparing and interpreting financial reports

  4. Your experience of implementing Board directed initiatives

  5. Previous Implementation of policies and procedures

  6. Experience of grant management, from application through to delivery and acquittal

  7. Your ability to work with a wide range of community and commercial user groups and individuals

  8. Your level of computer literacy

  9. Previous experience of being self directed and working independently with minimal supervision
